Meet our apprentices – Archie, Harrison, Ollie, Luke, Harry, Adam!
At ORB, we thoroughly understand the importance of developing our team members as well as their long-term aspirations for their futures, which is why we implement Mechanical and Electrical trade apprenticeships throughout the year.
With a passion in growing young talent within the industry, we ensure all our apprentices gain industry experience, whilst making contributions to the workplace and earning a nationally recognised qualification.
With 6 employees currently undertaking an apprenticeship with us, we decided to gain an insight on their experiences working with us so far. Here’s what our apprentices have had to say…
Archie Coles – Electrical – Near completion
Archie started his apprenticeship with us in 2019, with future plans to become a fully qualified electrician. Now heading into his final year of his apprenticeship, Archie has been a fantastic asset to the ORB team and is well on his way to achieving his dream goal.
“I have enjoyed my time with ORB because I get put on different sites where I have learnt a lot of things. I have also learnt a lot with ORB because I have been partnered up with lots of different people, which has allowed myself to gain knowledge on how to carry out different tasks. Due to this, my favourite part about the apprenticeship is working away with Jay. I would definitely recommend to other apprentices”.
Harrison Collings – Electrical – 2nd year
“I’ve enjoyed my time at ORB M&E and I personally feel like I’ve learnt a lot and believe I will continue to keep learning more and more every day. I’d highly recommend ORB to people wanting to take on this apprenticeship”.
Ollie Gray – Electrical – 1st year
“My favourite thing about the apprenticeship is learning new skills every day and meeting\talking to new people around the site. I would definitely recommend ORB to anyone”.
Luke Clements – Electrical – 2nd year
“I have really enjoyed working as an apprentice, I get to learn a lot of different things over time. My favourite part is that every day you get to do something new, I would recommend working for ORB to other apprentices”.
Harry Earp – Mechanical – 2nd year
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working for ORB M&E. I have learnt a great amount since starting my apprenticeship in March 2021 and I would have to say one of my favourite aspects is the team itself, you always seem to get along with everyone. I would no doubt recommend ORB M&E as an option to consider when looking for an apprenticeship”.
Adam Ford – Mechanical – 2nd year
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as an apprentice so far so of course I would recommend a plumbing apprenticeship with ORB to a fellow apprentice. My goals for the future are to become a fully qualified plumber and look to possibly acquire my Gas qualifications”.
